Helpful tips and techniques to prepare for the GAMSAT

As you begin your gamsat preparation, it’s important to have background information about the process and how it works. First, make sure that you register for the test. This year, registration will begin in mid October 2010. The actual test will be held on March 26, 2011. Secondly, determine your eligibility. Any student who has a Bachelor’s degree, or, is in their final year of obtaining one, is eligible to take the test. Finally, apply techniques that will help you succeed when you take the exam.
Having the right type of preparation materials is paramount to your success when you take the exam. The GAMSAT is comprised of three sections. Sections I and III are composed of general questions that test your knowledge of humanities, social sciences and basic science. Section II is dedicated to essay writing. In order to prepare for each section, it helps to already have an understanding of basic science.
Preparation materials such as: study manuals, books, and videos can aid you tremendously. Most of the manuals contain practice tests and lots of activities that will provide a step-by-step approach to help you increase your score when you take the test. Follow these steps, and you will be ready for the GAMSAT.
